King's Rest
The locally-given name of the mountain cluster north of Edeli and Twinclaw, King's Rest is said to hold the sacred source of the Okoniawai River within it's grasp.
Geography
Scholars and mountaineers have debated for years as to how the area known as King's Rest (and the lake within, Wanum-Gape came into being. Theories range from the hand of the Divine to the falling of a meteor; while no theory has been proven, it is mostly accepted that there was a small cluster of mountains that was struck directly by a meteor, creating the large crater lake which exists now.
Regardless of it's origins, a cluster of some six-eight peaks is now broken apart, housing a large and exceptionally deep lake within them; a lake with a single output, which, eventually, becomes the raging source of life known as the Okoniawai River.

Tourism
Tourism of any kind to King's Rest is strictly forbidden; the large burial chambers on it's peaks, known as the Mastaba of the Necrolords, is a sacred and holy place where the royalty and the divine are buried. Only those of royal blood, or their bonded servants, may enter this place, else their families be cursed for eternity.
