On the 13th of Ny, 252 AC, in Korthia,
Elisabeth VII gets an unexpected visit from Edouard, a man from her homeland
Catur back on Aurleen. Edouard tells Elisabeth that the Queen's War, in which she perished, actually transpired centuries ago. Furthermore, he revealed that a new Black Queen had illegitimately seized power, resorting to deceit and mind control, abandoning established traditions in the process. As a member of the resistance, Edouard's mission was to locate Elisabeth, the White Queen prophesized to save Catur.
In their attempt to send Edouard back to Catur with the help of Portal Guardian Mafar, they are ambushed by Black Knights, revealing the extent of
The Black Queen's influence, extending even to Korthia. Following their victory over the Knights, Elisabeth discovers a piece of parchment on one of them reaveling a name: Senyl Oakfever.
Quel'adis
Prior to embarking on their journey to Catur, a vision from Deus Magnus guides
The Fellowshipwreckers to the capital of
The Motionless Wastes: Quel'adis. Rumors suggest that cultists, led by Senyl Oakfever and aligned with the Black Queen, are hiding within the city. The Fellowshipwreckers are entrusted with delivering a magical sword hilt to Father Ludius, the High Priest of Quel'adis. In return for the hilt, Father Ludius discloses that an unusually high number of followers of Lethander recently arrived, last seen at the shrine of the Wild Mother.
Venturing beneath the shrine, The Fellowshipwreckers uncover the cultists. After overcoming Senyl Oakfever and his followers, they learn that the cult was working on a mysterious, ominously appearing substance. Suspected to be a plague intended for creating an army of undead for the Black Queen, The Fellowshipwreckers decide to take the machine with them, so that
Nalu Ashan can investigate and potentially find an antidote in case such a threat emerges again in the future.
To Catur
Capablanca and meeting Cedric Shaw
Disguised as merchants, the Fellowshipwreckers arrive in Capablanca, a once neutral seaport city of significant importance for both incoming and outgoing resources, but now shrouded in black banners with the black army patrolling the streets. After magically contacting Edouard, the Fellowshipwreckers are guided to the hideout of La Résistance, a resistance army consisting of surviving White Knights, Greys and supporters of The White Queen, led by Elise. Unfortunately their hiding place is compromised and they are discovered by a regiment of the Black Army under general
Cedric Shaw. Following an intense battle, in which
Harper Darkwood unleashes her powers, causing a destructive earthquake that demolishes a significant portion of the city, the Fellowshipwreckers emerge victorious and Cedric Shaw is killed.
Lady Vison appears before Elisabeth and reveals that Cedric was brainwashed by the Black Queen, emphasizing that he is deserving of redemption. Recalling her own second chance granted by Deus Magnus, Elisabeth reluctantly brings Cedric back to life. In this transformation he is liberated from the Black Queen's influence and his armor becomes white. Cedric Shaw then vows to help the Fellowshipwreckers liberate Catur.
It is only then that the Fellowshipwreckers notice
Nalu Ashan missing from their midst. They try to reach out to him in the mindlink, but to no avail. Elisabeth tries to contact him with a sending and although the reply sounds very far away, Nalu is able to tell them he has been captured...
Yet the Fellowshipwreckers have no time to dawdle, as Cedric alerts the Fellowshipwreckers that reinforcements are en route. Swiftly responding, Myara deploys missiles from The Unwreckable, obliterating the approaching forces. United with La Résistance, they seize control of Capablanca. In the midst of their preparations, a blaring alarm sounds, and a rift in time and space opens at sea. Anticipating another battle, the Fellowshipwreckers are pleasantly surprised to see Eladrin ships emerge on the horizon, ready to aid in taking Catur.
