The fashion of the Grandees is to always appear with their rapier at all times, just in case a duel should break out. In addition, the men wear large, feathered hats, lacy jackets, wide silk collars, and shiny buckled boots; the women have enormous hair, often decorated with jewels and feathers, with tight corsets and exquisitely patterned dresses.

The Grandees live in grand, sprawling manors in the countryside, maintaining a small unit of a few guards and drawing levies from the peasants on their land.
