Even if he hides it, and use healing spells to reduce it, he suffers from multiple old-ages pain (Arthritis mainly), it sometimes show in his way of walking.

As a thaumaturgist of Magnus, he as access to human arcana without aplying natural laws of thermodynamic. He is also capable of using elven magic (glyphs) and blood magic.

Personal history
One of the arch-mage of the college of Alia, and a former thaumaturgist (Magnus paladin), mage-warrior. The brain behind the company, unwillingly, as it was a king’s order. Now retired from battle, he only live out of his place as a primary school director. Passionate about foreign languages, and by the dwarven science, deprived of magic powers, he managed to pull out in public one of their biggest secret, by taking the Rhode’s technique as his arch-mage thesis; a secret that even Athrian did not have at the time.

Since his youth he has been educated by his parent with the goal of making him a scholar, apparently he loved it, as he willingly plunged in it, and became a bookworm archmage.

Was once a thaumaturgist, paladin of Magnus ; then a battle archmage, and now, a simple history teacher in the college of magi.

History
Meriarch was a young and fresh archmage, with a licence to teach magic, when the child Galthor arrived in Meridia. Of course, a half-dwarf with that much potential in magic was a strange concept for Galthor, and he was extremely interested in teaching magic to such an outsider. Galthor's physique and origins were a source of problem to the other students, and Meriarch was here to protect him and cheers. Now both adult and old, they share the title and occupation of Archmage, collaborating in researches and academic papers. It was without hesitation that Galthor asked Meriarch to be the private preceptor of Yloriem
