Alia

Demographics

The city is divided in three circles, the centre is all the public organization and does not contain any houses. The middle circle contain a lot of commerces, and noble houses. all the peasants and middle-class have houses in the external circles, with farms outside the wall.

Government

The city is directly under the order of the king, and have a delegation of four mayors controlling a quarter of the city.

Defences

The city being divided in three circles physically by walls. Each quarter of the city communicate between the circle by portcullis, and between quarters by canals with removable bridges. Multiples Barracks are built in each quarter and circles for quick action of the militia, with forges close to provide weapons and armour maintenance regularly.

Industry & Trade

Alia live of a lot of touristic activities, taverns, INN. Forges, farms offer resources, with a lot of bakeries, butcheries and other commerces to transform and sell products. The college of magi, the academy of letters and arts both attract a lot of students from all Merida, and even international.

Infrastructure

The castle of the king, the Magister tower, the college of magi, the high tribunal and the temple of aurora is all in the centre. Barracks are put in the external circles on the four quarters. Of course a city as big as Alia have multiple roads and alleys, walls that divides the three circles, and artificial canals that divides the four quarters. The city is one of the first in Meridia to have its own sewer system under the city; over the year it became a problem that Kobold developed an underground city inside it.

Assets

As itself, the Onirem Familly, and the Athrian in general are considered an asset, as a dissuasive weapon against war. Numerous smiths and mages lives in the city, creating a lot of weapons and magical items; farmers around the city, using the surrounding march, produce a lot of different cereals. Being the capital of the kingdom, Alia hold all the collected money from taxes in highly protected vaults.

Guilds and Factions

The temple of astral aurora, the religion of Meridia, is governed by the high pontiff, who seek moral and protection of the city, and country. The high centre of guilds is the reunion centre for all the guilds of every type of commerces. The college of magi is directed by the council of archmages. And the onirem family, the most powerful Athrians in existence, look over and advise the Athrians living in Meridia. All of these aforementioned are obligated to siege in the chamber of the noble, one of the two chambers of Meridian government, as consultative and enforcers of the laws.

Geography

Alia is built in the middle of a crescent-shaped Marsh, with a structure of three circles separated by walls and doors. The city is furthermore divided in four quarter by artificial canals all linked to a giant fountain in the middle of the central place.

Natural Resources

March giving a very fertile soil for good agriculture, a lot of fruits (apple, oranges, lemons) cereals (wheat, sunflower, barley) and livestocks (pig and cow). Some small forests are close to the city, the most known being the dreamer's grove. the march itself is a good reserve of clay to make bricks and terracotta.
