Session 1: Eventful Beginnings

4 Eleasias/August, 1485

General Summary

The party traveled east and after about 20 days they made their way to the Ruins of Llorkh. After setting up camp you were eventually ambushed by a group of bandits. Hailing victorious, two of the intruders surrendered and you decided to leave them alive to interrogate. You found out that the giant activity in this area has become increasingly dangerous, and that they have grown restless. You also learned that many of the orcs and goblins in this area have came under the employ to the local giants. The next morning you followed Veradda's lead to the closest known treasure cashe. She led you to a cave in the side of the Greypeak Mountains, and there was evidence of a large number of goblinoid footprints leading into the cave entrance. You defeated a number of goblins that fell under a curse that had caused them to shrink down to 1/10th their normal size. After defeating roughly two dozen small goblins who grew back to their regular size upon death. You moved through the cave to find a cursed hill giant named Slayermighty with his like-cursed bear Blooddrinker. You managed to defeat Slayermighty to find the open trapped chest that seemed to be the cause of the curse. Catnip managed to find Blooddrinker and save him. As the curse began to capture the life force from the bear, he began to convulse and shake uncontrollably when Catnip in the last moment managed to dispel the curse. You did however manage to find a note within the trapped chest that was from the "Clan True-Nimbus of the Clouds" As you guys were wrapping up, Veradda heard a compelling voice in her head urging her to come back out into the cavern. As she rounded the corner there was a tall dark shadowy figure, floating before her. She lost all control of her senses and unwillingly approached the dark figure. He put a hand to her face and said, "You fools know not the forces you contend with." And with that he pulled the life force from Veradda, opened a portal to the Feywilds and stepped through. You soon found her lifeless body and held a funeral for her, there outside the cave in a small clearing before the mountains. She had left behind her journal which contained the location of four other known treasure cashes, waiting to be discovered...
