Meyheth, goddess of the Forest

The earth upon creation was infertile and hard until Meyheth tread upon the ground and left verdant forests and singing wildlife in her wake. Meyheth loved mankind but they were not her creation, she gave herself over to her own partiality and favored the well being of nature and animals over the care of mankind. She was proud of her perfect creation as if she had not been given the ability to do so by Almighty himself. When she had assisted in the temptation from the firstborn to turn away from Almighty sin entered the world and thus nature. All animals were infected with corruption and henceforth began to rip each other apart and consume the flesh of one another.   Meyheth always burned with resentment for mankind being the favored creation. The linish for this reason do not hunt or eat meat to appease Meyheth. Although it may be in rare places of the Erlin kingdoms, devout priestesses of Meyheth still perform mortal sacrifices to make up for the animal blood spilled for consumption by their firstborn ancestors.   Meyheth is described by the linish to be a gentle and nurturing goddess, but she was also fiercely protective of her domain and would strike down any who threatened the delicate balance of the forest. Despite her protective nature, Meyheth was known to be a friend to those who respected the forest and its creatures. She would often grant blessings to those who lived in harmony with the woods, and her gifts were said to be powerful and life-giving.   In the end, Meyheth was a goddess who embodied the beauty and mystery of the forest. She was a protector, a nurturer, and a guide to all who sought to understand the secrets of the woods. And as long as the trees grew tall and the animals roamed free, she would continue to reign over the forest, a symbol of the beauty and power of nature.             Regenerate response
