01.01.22 I've come to terms with my disappointment over Worldember. I knew going into this that I was going to be dealing with burnout from work and that definitely impacted my motivation to login and world build. But I will continue to be disappointed by the fact that my word count came primarily from bios for characters I've already written. I was really hoping to come out of 2021 with some new things to incorporate in my novels. The only thing I've really done in terms of world building is the creation of two species of squirrels specifically because a character from Eproilian Tales will have two that he takes with him everywhere. Will they have any other impact on the world at large? Probably not. But it is now the new year, so even though I have that disappointment, Im optimistic about what I will accomplish in the coming months. I've begun researching governments to inform my development of the different governments of Leland, so even though I haven't put anything to paper, I've been able to start the process.

12.31.21 I am so unbelievably mad at myself. I've purposely made time for working on Worldember things, but I haven't actually been doing any work! Yes, I've hit 10k with the publishing of Eproilian Tales, but my goal was 25k and my list of articles that I intended to work on this month remains untouched. If I want to feel like I've actually accomplished something, I've got a lot of work to do in the next 36 hours.

12.11.21 I've decided that for the next day or two I'm continuing to work on character profiles before I dive into the meat of the worldbuilding I have planned, and let me tell you, I have learned some things about Alisdara Olevera that I did not know before I sat down to work on her profile. Namely, that her passion is enflux erotic writing, aka writing erotic fiction with a technique that makes one physically feel the sensations that are being described on the page. Hoo boy, did not see that one coming!

12.10.21 I've only really had the opportunity to work on one article on and off because of work, but I'm glad to see it got me a third of the way to 10k! I guess I had a lot to say about Abbelithe Olevera, but she is one of the most well-developed characters in my world, so this is to be expected.
