    Revolution

Unwilling to continue supplying Arya with the taxes of his territory, Kraem sends a messenger to the capital in Stillwater to falsely claim that anticipated payments were intercepted by bandits. Over the summer and into the fall, Kraem forms his discontented populace into an army and slows outgoing trade. All the while, he sends messengers, explaining delays in payment and ignoring exhortations to send the required tax. In Allsgather, he sends a final messenger, armed with a crushing declaration, The Traitor's Scroll. He names the territory Kiulmaa, in honor of a legendary fisherman.

    The Second Dubrian War
    Military action

Less than a month after ascending the throne, Maedus Faheem declares war against Dubria in retaliation for the death of his father and the capture of their territory in The First Dubrian War. During the short peace between the First Dubrian War and this act of aggression, Maedus had been drilling his armies, and the force that he brought to bear was significantly more capable than those led by his father three short years ago.    Regardless, Faheem saw little success in the war. Though Fort Vesteem did succumb to an assault, it was retaken again in the same year. The Dubrian counteroffensive campaign was slow and steady, pushing Faheem's forces and borders ever further back. Though the people of Faheem resist at every step, the slow push of the Dubrian army is as inevitable as the return of the Moon. Despite foreign aid to Dubria being cut in the 56th Year of Record, and general fatigue from the people of Dubria with the war, the push does not end, though it does slow.   The war eventually ends with an assault on Faheem's capital city, Maylif, where Grast personally ends Maedus' life. Dubria annexes Faheem as its broken and battered military surrenders with the death of their ruler.

Moralus kills Kraem and assumes the rule of Kiulmaa
    Life, Death

High taxation and foreign aid being sent to Dubria asking nothing in return eventually forces the people of Kiulmaa past their breaking point. Riots erupt across the city, tax collectors are jailed, and the country becomes ungovernable. Even so, Kraem adamantly refuses to suspend aid to Dubria for their war effort. Moralus is forced to take matters into her own hands and attempts to subdue Kraem in order to take the throne. Kraem chooses to draw Tyran, and Moralus draws Polaris in return, and Kraem is killed in the exchange.   Kraem is later interred in Vilvara, and Moralus takes over the rule of the country, immediately relaxing taxation and halting shipments to Dubria.
