Karl-Franz est un empereur populaire, en partie parce que ses ancêtres ont maintenu la tradition de respecter l'autonomie des autres comtes électeurs. Il est le dernier d'une lignée d'empereurs de la dynastie Holswig-Schliestein, connue du grand public sous le nom de Maison de Wilhelm III. Il incarne l'esprit d'État prudent de ses ancêtres. Ou du moins... il l'était.
À la mort de Luitpold en 2502, son fils Karl-Franz est élu. Karl-Franz poursuit la politique de son père.
Il est aussi de la maison Holswig-Schliestein, comte électeur, grand prince du Reikland, prince d'Altdorf, comte de la Marche occidentale et élu de Sigmar, et est basé à Altdorf. Il a 35 ans ; son héritier au Reikland est le fils aîné de sa sœur, le prince héritier Wolfgang de la maison Holswig-Abenauer, âgé de 19 ans. Son héritier à Altdorf est son fils, le prince héritier Luitpold, âgé de 16 ans. Luitpold était l'héritier du Reikland, mais il a récemment été déshérité de ce titre pour des raisons inconnues.

Karl-Franz I, House of the Third Wilhelm, Protector of the Empire, Defier of the Dark, Emperor himself and Son of Emperor. Karl-Franz is a popular Emperor in part because his ancestors kept a tradition of respecting the autonomy of the other elector counts. He is the latest in a line of Emperors of the Holswig-Schliestein dynasty, known to the masses as the House of the Third Wilhelm. He exemplifies the careful statesmanship of his forefathers. Or … he used to.
Upon the death of Luitpold in 2502 IC, his son Karl-Franz was elected. Karl-Franz continues the style of statesmanship practised by his father.
He is also of House Holswig-Schliestein, Elector Count, Grand Prince of the Reikland, Prince of Altdorf, Count of the West March, and Sigmar’s Chosen, and is based in Altdorf. He is 35; his heir to Reikland is his sister’s eldest son, Crown Prince Wolfgang of House Holswig-Abenauer, 19. His heir to Altdorf is his son, Crown Prince Luitpold, 16. Luitpold used to be heir to Reikland, but was recently disinherited from the title for reasons unknown.
