The Paratrites

The Paratrites, distinct from other elves, possess an otherworldly and fey-like appearance that sets them apart from the rest of their elven kin. Their physical features exude an ethereal quality, making them appear almost supernatural to those who encounter them. Their presence in Maeon is often associated with an air of mystery and enchantment. Due to their unique appearance and desire for secrecy, the Paratrites have chosen to operate as a clandestine circle, shrouding their existence from the prying eyes of other ancestries. They prefer to remain hidden from the public eye, engaging in their druidic practices and pursuing ancient knowledge away from the scrutiny of outsiders.   The reasons behind their secretive nature vary, but one possible explanation is the preservation of their ancient wisdom. The Paratrites hold a vast repository of esoteric knowledge that has been accumulated over centuries, encompassing the intricate workings of nature, ancient rituals, and forgotten lore. They guard this knowledge fiercely, believing that it should be kept within their circle to prevent its misuse or corruption.   The Paratrites understand the delicate balance between civilization and nature and recognize the potential consequences of exposing their practices to the wider world. They fear that the divulgence of their existence may lead to exploitation, manipulation, or disruption of the natural order. By remaining hidden, they can continue to protect and nurture the ecosystems of Maeon without interference or disturbance.   Within their secluded circle, the Paratrites engage in extensive study, meditation, and communion with the natural world. They refine their druidic abilities and delve deeper into the mysteries of the land, seeking to further harmonize with the primal forces that shape the realm. Their rituals and ceremonies are conducted in secret groves, hidden sanctuaries, and ancient places of power, away from prying eyes.
