Metia

Metia is a wonderous floating city of ancient white stone, previously occupied by the First Ones as part of the mytho-historical proto-state of Metis. Its current rulership is unknown. Metia is widely regarded as one of the great wonders of Materia.

Layout

Metia is incredibly difficult to reach, as it floats thousands of feet in the air above the vast Metian lake. Not much is remembered about the city itself, but its central keep towers far above the rest of the city, giving the impression of a "castle in the sky".

Reputation

Metia is generally seen as an impregnable city, near impossible to reach for mortals. Despite the promise of treasure and wealth beyond imagining, verifiable accounts of exploration of the city are near nonexistant since the Doom of Metis.
Scholars and adventurers alike have speculated that the city may be inhabited by fantastical and ancient creatures such as Dragons or remaining First Ones.
