Overgrowth

This civil war of the Elves of The World Tree Forest lasted a mere 25 years, a very short time by elf standards. No battles were waged during this time. Most causalities were a result of the Drow sinking the High Elf islands and sucking many of them into a whirlpool.

The Conflict

Prelude

The Brelish, of Breland , arrived in the Jurdan Plains and quickly spread out, forcing the elves, high and wood, into more direct cohabitation. Thier fundamentally differing views of society and the world lead to a schism.

Deployment

The Wood elves ousted any high elves from Lindorne and established their own governing bodies, The Siblings and The Eternal Council. In preparation for the ensuing offensives, the High elves utilized Arcane crystals to focus and enhance their innate magical abilities. The Drow of the underworld did not take kindly to the High elves amassing so much power, and inflitrated, and nearly destroyed, the high elves by sinking their islands and shattering their Arcane Crystals in what is know as The Shattering .

Outcome

The town of Sha-Eatain was formed from the few islands that could be raised out of the ocean. The Whirlpool was created by the sinking of the islands.

Aftermath

The High elves Never returned to their former glory.

Historical Significance

Legacy

The Whilepool and Sha-Eatain stil exist to this day, and the Wood elf country of Eldaria has kept rule since.
