Dark charred and gnarled trees with branches that seem to reach in distorted ways silently ooze tears, home to dangerous monsters and protection for the town of Hallow's End nestled against the Kor nalas mountain side. An ever present fog dampens the cobblestone ground and black iron fences. However these are not the main reasons people only travel to Hallow's End if they have to. While the people are happy, nice, kind, and the town is peaceful and welcoming, the laws are strict and strongly upheld. In Hallow's End you are guilty until proven innocent.

The Aureus are the main lawmakers and are the final say on most laws

The dense forest typically deters most raiders as it is filled with monsters and
generally unsettling, the town does have a small guard trained by the Aureus family, and each
major house does have their own special guard which they employ. The Aureus Family is
traditionally known for its deadly force and so they lead the defences
The inhabitants grow most of their own food and raise their own animals to
eat. Their main export is silk and syrup from the Weeping Forest, there is a small mining export
however it has been running a little slow as it is running out of minerals. For
those who are in the industry or big fans there is a major theatre industry as the people of The
End are jovial fun loving people

Hallow’s End was first settled by the Caskbane Dwarves who had heard of riches within
the mountains, the forest gave adequate protection as many did not wander close to it for fear of
what was in it. The first dwarves created a deep mine to the North and the catacombs in the
Northwestern mountains. Next the settlers came and cultivated farmland specializing in
pumpkin, wheat, corn. The forest did not protect for long and soon, after its creation and known
relevancy to the outside world, it started being raided and the creatures of the forest lurked
closer. The family Aureus heard about Hallow’s End and decided it was an opportunity to gain
power. The Aureus family swept in with weapons in hand and pushed back the raiders and
monsters. After the town became dependant on the Aureus family they installed their family as
the head of law and society.
When the mining slowed down the town found a new exports in silks
and syrups from the Weeping Forest. The Aureus family set up the town guards and hunter’s
guild. Hallow’s End stays jovial with its creation of the theatre, pastry shops, and more. The law
is taken very seriously with the Head family, Aureus, having the tradition of upholding the law
with a key member of the family being given the role of Executioner. The hanging tree was
installed very early in the towns creation, being placed near the forest on the outskirts of the
town, it is used for the most extreme crimes, those who hang hopefully have the mercy of a
quick snap but those who don’t have to face the creatures from the forest. Along with the
creation of the mines the dwarves also dug a catacomb for the town on the Northwestern
mountain. The main courtyard next to the theatre is set as the place for the public executions as
they are a source of town entertainment
