Mellanvärlden
Mellanvärlden is the main stage in which history is written. It is the plane in which all mortal beings grow, live and die. It is filled with all kinds of animals, plants and other types of life, some intelligent, some good, some evil.
Translated to the common tongue as "The Middle World", Mellanvärlden is dominated by the race of men, always greedy, decadent and bound to death. But short lifespan didn't stop them from expanding, conquering and ruling over most of the plane with their armies, kings and lust for power and dominance.
Although filled with life, opportunity and prosperity, the Middle World is a dark and harsh place, suffering a strong influence from all the other 6 realms, usually being the stage in which the conflicts of the Light and Chaos take place, with the inhabitants too often getting caught in the crossfire.
Characteristics
Mellanvärlden hosts all kinds of climates and biomes, giving the world a huge diversity of life and prosperity. Above the rocky, water-rich soil, lies a thin atmosphere filled with all the gases needed for the mortal beings to live and grow. The plane is filled with life from the deepest ocean abyss up to the highest peaks and even beyond.Sentient Beings
The Middle World is home to many kinds of intelligent species, some that seek order and alignment, others that hide under the ground amongst endless bioluminescent forests and caves.The Race of Men
They rule the lands of the world from inside their castles of stone, seeking to amass power and immortalize their history.The Dwarves
The short and robust dwarves inhabit the heart of the mountains throughout the world, mining deeper and deeper towards the core of the world, amassing wealth and crafting and forging the most wondrous items of the world, while also displaying the most ingenious and sophisticated architecture.The Halflings
Staying isolated and unbeknownst from the world at large, the happy and humble halflings live their simple and joyful lives amongst fertile green hills, in their small houses filled with food and good drink. Unlike all other races, these are probably the most content and pure of them.The Gröni
Divided into larger and smaller species, the Gröni comprehend the humanoid beings with green skin, the goblins, orcs and their likes. While goblins are present everywhere, living in their savage and evil ways, the orcs are much rarer and some believe they aren't real at all.
