Oathbreaker, Continued
House Targaryen | Rook's Rest | Steffi the RedheadI ask every member of the small counsel for advice how to resolve the issues in the North. House Oakheart | Old Oak | Jack Handy
Hear hear! She is a just and fair Queen. May the Gods protect her !!! House Ryswell | The Rills | Eddy
I welcome this as all Lords of the realm aside from Cerwyn and Pryor have been reasonable and just in their dealings. My claim is to Winterfell and House Cerwyn. My justification is that Lord Cerwyn broke his oath and attempted to assassinate me, but gifted his lands to escape judgment. I believe I am due his house for this disgrace. I claim Winterfell as Lord Pryor was only able to access it by dragging his feet on House Cerwyn to avoid the Queen's judgment to hand it over immediately many months ago, and furthermore he REFUSED a trial by combat over these houses. I would be pleased to pay a heavy tax to the Queen and the Lords of the Small Council for the time and effort required to judge this issue and organize a trial by combat, and also for the burden of the constant ravens between my opponents and myself. I rest my case and await the judgment of the realm. House Costayne | Three Towers | sandman
It is my opinion, my queen, that House Ryswell won the race to Torrhen's Square fairly as agreed by the lords to a foot race. When House Cerwyn lost the foot face, he joined the former Lord of Winterfell and attacked without the honor of a declaration. Once he started losing the war, House Pryor came to his aid and gained much lands that House Ryswell would have gained in the war if no aid came. Now I am unsure of your commands in the conflict, but from where I sit, I need to know why Winterfell and the Pebble lord attacked in the first place before I pick a side. As to hold claim on Winterfell, I believe the queen gives and takes lands and titles as she sees fit and if they cannot work out peace, it might be best the Queen herself hold the city until the issue is resolved and she knows whom best to hold it long term. House Ryswell | The Rills | Eddy
To clarify specifically on the Queen's command: The very day Lord Cerwyn gave his lands to Lord Pryor I petitioned the queen, and she ordered he hand House Cerwyn to me, before he had taken Winterfell. He went radio silent, disobeying her order, and Lord CERWYN the NEXT month challenged me to a duel for the land. She then withdrew her order which Pryor had already disobeyed and said a trial by combat would decide. Lord Cerwyn then backtracked and said he wouldn't duel me for the land as it wasn't his to give but Pryor's, and Pryor has been refusing my challenges to a trial for months. House Targaryen | Summerhall | Koen27
My advice remains the same, try to resolve it by trial by combat. If this doesn't work... you'll have to find other diplomatic measures… and talk to them. House Costayne | Three Towers | sandman
I will discuss my opinion with the Queen. House Targaryen | Summerhall | Koen27
Thank you lord hand, I am certain that you give better advice than me… perhaps that's why you're the hand and I am master of coin. House Targaryen | Rook's Rest | Steffi the Redhead
I want the opinion of every one of my Lords, even if they aren’t so eloquent with words. House Oakheart | Old Oak | Jack Handy
Let them fight it out for blood, my Queen. Only the strong survive. House Ryswell | The Rills | Eddy
I've tried diplomacy! I offered to pay him generously LONG before I tried violence or accused him of anything because naturally peace is preferable, but he said my offer was too low, refused to counteroffer, and has ignored my ravens since.
