Grados

Grados is more fortress than city. Since the fall of Lord Faber in 1123, the former ruler of the city-state, Grados has made room for the people who overthrew him. His palace was converted into a city hall. The many rooms of the various towers were made into housing. Elements of a town already existed just beyond the city walls, but the citizens under his rule made full use of the facilities within. Soon, the cost of living became too high for the very people who overthrew their corrupt government. The city is very wealthy as a result. Today, Grados has some of the most secure banks in all of Atolvance (as the personal treasure vaults were converted into banks).
