Ishval

The western continent of Mistral, Ishval has a multitude of nations and races scattered across it, as well as vast unsettled lands in both the western and northern regions.

Geography

Due to its size, both the climate and geography of Ishval varies wildly as you cross it. The south and east are made up of vast plains, with rolling hills and small forests sprinkled throughout. To the east is the Rotmoor Swamp, a coastal marshland and extensive swamp that remains largely unexplored. The north is dominated by the Nianech Icelands, permanent polar ice that fades into tundra and becomes Vrithgarde. The boreal forests that cover the land south of Vrithgarde are known as the Sprucethorn Forests, and a variety of large mountain ranges split the landscape in the north, south, and center of the continent.
