Order of the Pillar of Fire

Some of the inspiration and details are derived from Colombia Games.

The Hârnic Chapter

The Clerical sect of the Church of Agrik sponsoring the Fighting Order, The Companions of Roving Doom.

In 717TR, the Order’s only Hârnic temple in the City of Golotha was burned to the ground, and most of its priests were killed. No more than a few dozen members of the Order survived, and only then by fleeing and remaining in hiding.

It is believed that the conspiracy to purge the Pillar of Fire was planned by the Agrikan Primate, Sir Klyrdes Bisidril, Apalankh of Hârn of the Order of Mamaka, Master of Steel, likely with the support of King Chafin III of Rethem. The Order intends to assassinate the Primate at the first opportunity.

The Pillar of Fire's sponsored Fighting Order, the Companions of Roving Doom, did not show a high degree of loyalty during the crisis, instead, they relied on the Priests of the Order of Mamaka, for spiritual guidance.

During the Rethemi Civil War, 721 to 723TR, the Companions of Roving Doom fought on the losing side for King Chafin III Araku. The priests of the Pillar of Fire supported the Rebels led by the Earl of Tormau as they could, mostly supplying intelligence. They were rewarded with royal support when King Kabe II Araku came to power. The Pillar of Fire priests once again guild the Companions, however many of that Order's leadership are considered traitors requiring purifying. Things are tense between the organizations.

The Order has reclaimed its temple in the City of Golotha and restarted constuction of a grand temple at Arketh Keep.

The Ivinian Chapter

The Chapter in the Viking Northlands is prospering. It has temples in the town of Vulenheim and on the volcanic mountain of Geravek. It has good relations with its sponsored Fighting Order, the Ivinian branch of the Companions of Roving Doom, who have a well-deserved reputation for violence and aggression.

Tenets of Faith

The members of this Order are first and foremost Fire Priests conjuring fire and lava in all its forms. They believe that fire is the great purifier; weakness and corruption are burned away, allowing for something better and stronger to emerge from the ashes.

The Order also strongly believes in converting souls swell the armies of Agrik. They are not fussy in who they convert as long as they can wield a weapon.

Priesthood

The Order is open to both men and women. Priests or Priestess of this Order have access to Agrik's Fire Domain.

I like it, one suggestion, fire elemental summoning seems more of a Pelahan or wizardly function. I would think summoning of a Balor or a Horned Devil would be more appropriate.

Thanks, I love these discussions. My reasoning for a Fire Elemental is I try to give each of the Clerical Orders a unique flavor or focus, in this case, fire is their thing. Any way they can still summon Demons using generic spells and ritual books. My understanding from canon is the Order of Hepra the Mace, and maybe the Eight Demons as well is much more focused on summoning conventional Demons.

I noticed a rather large typo, Piller, should be Pillar, as in column or .support.
