Wardens of Deephome
The territory under the Isles is in flux. Dark forces have emerged underground and have conquered a number of Dwarven citadels and strongholds. Dwarves are being expelled from their homelands and overrun with dark forces below. The Wardens seek to protect Deephome from emerging dark forces and to reclaim their lost lands. Once that is established they wish to disband the Wardens, having no further need for the organization. But in the meantime, united they control much of the ore and precious metals that the surface needs, including arms needed in battles on the surface, which has given them a strong bargaining position.
