Cape Lund

Cape Lund was the brief settlement founded upon the southern coast of the Southern Wilds by the Green Band of the Bands of Brothers. After the Nordmarian invasion by Azhidal drove them from Geldrin, the Green Band fled to The Watchlands. As refugees their relation with The Night's Watch grew uneasy however. Therefore Lord Commander Marcus Vardenfell conceived the plan of settling the Band at Cape Lund. This way he would allow the Band to govern itself, while at the same time starting the taming of the Southern Wilds.   
The timing of settling these lands could not be more ill-conceived however. Because of the Ebrenisium Daedra and Aedra gained more influence over the Plane of Mundus. In the Southern Wilds this resulted in the Wild Hunt. Cape Lund was one of the earliest victims of this onslaught. Because of its relative youth, its defences were no match to the wild Beastmen. As a result much of the Green Band was wiped out and the young settlement razed
