Dragonborn

Dragonborn look very much like dragons standing upright in humanoid form, though they lack wings and sometimes a tail. The first dragonborn had scales of vibrant hues matching the colors of their dragon kin, but generations of interbreeding have created a more uniform appearance. Their small, fine scales are usually brass or bronze in color, sometimes ranging to scarlet, rust, gold, or copper-green. They are tall and strongly built, often standing close to 6½ feet tall and weighing 300 pounds or more. Their hands and feet are strong, talonlike claws with three fingers and a thumb on each hand.   The blood of a particular type of dragon runs very strong through some dragonborn clans. These dragonborn often boast scales that more closely match those of their dragon ancestor—bright red, green, blue, or white, lustrous black, or gleaming metallic gold, silver, brass, copper, or bronze.

Eslaiqi Dragonborn

Descendants of the Northern Peaks: While no large population of dragonborn, or Tanin, exist within Eslaiqeza they have an interesting relationship to the other species in the region. Commonly thought to have much in common with the Tanin of Urvorsath, both of these lizard-esque species have grown to resemble different forms of reptilian creatures. The Tanin of Eslaiqeza commonly show a lineage of the dragons of myth who reside in the mountains north of Hyalma, from the peaks of the Iddrich, or the highest reaches of the Pallet Mountains. They come in a wide variety of colors, which commonly denotes them to be descended from a specific mountain range or area within Eslaiqeza. No one knows for certain how they came about, many do not put as much stake in their lineage as the elven people of the nation. Rather many simply seek to understand the draconic abilities they possess, typically with arcane study at the many universities of the region.

Eslaiqi Draconite Dragonborn

The Inkstained: These interesting individuals share much with their fellow draconian cousins, however possessing a characteristic rare among Eslaiqi Tanin, tails. What they lack in hardy, scaled exteriors they make up for in their knack for study and politics. Many residing within Esfwir Plaza in Illhum where they commonly see to attending the various academies and universities within the city, working within the Acropolis of Unity to better the politic of the city, and otherwise applying themselves to matters of the mind and heart.

Eslaiqi Ravenite Dragonborn

The Armored: These Tanin, similar to the other species represent another category of dragonborn. Lacking the tails of their more studious counterparts, these Tanin find their draconic heritage within their strength, stamina, and combat prowess unmatched by many others within Eslaiqeza. Many travel all over the nation, walking all walks of life, however many of these draconic individuals find themselves called to lives of heroics. It is unknown what draws these individuals to such wanderlust, some however think it could be a lingering desire for precious things lingering in them from their draconic heritage. Regardless of why, many Tanin heroes tend to come from this particular subspecies.

Gylidder Chromatic, Gem, and Metallic Dragonborn

Blood of the Dragons: Many of the Dragonborn of Gylidd are the direct descendants of the Great Wyrms of Gylidd. Four of them - known collectively as the Dauddraig - are something more, having blended their essences with the elementals of the inner planes, but the others of great might and incredible lifespans still reside with their children in lairs and homes all across the island. The Dauddraig are as follows: Izzithsicoria the Red, Bruidwyddir the White, Symudlaw the Gold, and Vykdramir the Shadow. These four live harmoniously in and around Gylidd Syn Aethri itself.   Also spread out throughout the island are a number of greatwyrm dragons and their flights. Among them are: Shangg Svarth the Blue, Eir Karannas the Black, Houladrazvexia the Green, Jin Jeth Basim Nim the Copper, Bekrathiranika the Silver, Otessgival Meiren the Brass, Xilshou Omra the Bronze, Ebranothos the Amethyst, Jairkittrovim the Crystal, Clathandruin the Emerald, Lanokimizirkuroz the Sapphire, and Onvetelnan the Topaz. Their homes are among the most closely guarded secrets in Gylidd, although they are occasionally seen in the skies above and among the people during important events. Their descendants and bloodlines permeate much of Gylidd, and so too do the Dragonborn.
