Air Transports

Designed in Volhammer, these experimental new transports can bypass threats on the land or sea. With nought but the dragons able to threaten them, there will soon be no place unreachable to Volhammer's dwarves.
Powered by a new prototype Mana Heart, the newly developed Iron Birds can potentially fly forever without needing to dock or refuel. This would, however, require the ship to move slower. If pushed, the ship can reach greater speeds, but with a greater risk of core overload. And whereas a damaged core on an Iron Horse or Iron Fish might leave the transport sitting idly until it can be repaired, a damaged core on an Iron Bird means a cataclysmic fall to the plane below.
Further refinements will need to be made, but very soon the sky may no longer be the limit for Volhammer.
