The Five Lilies
The Five Lilies are the name of an adventuring party consisting of Fernando, Bron, Jamil, Pia, and Senna. Though they were once a skilled set of adventurers contracted by some of the most powerful people in the Coitelan Alliance, they now reside in "exile" on Valor Isle.
History
The first time any of them met was when Bron met Pia, in the Coitelan Alliance.
They traveled together as far as the Freewater Islands, but on the way, Pia dives deeper and deeper into Blood Magic. She and Bron have a fight about it in a port town, and the next morning, he ships off with a privateer captain, Fernando. The two of them sail together for some amount of time, but their ship ends up partially disabled by a Uraka'val Ceva'shen Submersible. While seeking safe harbor in Deephammer, they end up prisoners. On the other side of the world, Senna is searching for the Blood of Shonef (of the legendary Shonef), rumored to grant incredible powers of foresight, in the Sul-Harik Desert. She wins an Adsalam Divining Scimitar in a card game, and, in the course of trying to use it, is led to Jamil, a street urchin with a surprisingly quick hand and keen eye.
It turns out, Pia has been looking for the same thing. They all end up meeting in the same desert dungeon. In the middle of something involving a Sphinx, Jamil was tricked and put on a cursed ring that altered his form continuously and painfully. In order to break this curse, Pia did the only thing she could think of and locked his form as his true form forever (fit this in earlier: he was previously able to change form very freely).
After the wild jailbreak, the two of them end up in Nerisa, where Fernando gets blinded by a flash bomb, thrown by an escaping Jamil. Jamil, feeling guilty, finds Fernando under Bron's care, and entreats Bron to come with him to get help for Fernando.
This, of course, leads to a wild confrontation between Bron and Pia, who is in the hut with Senna. Bron doesn't let Pia heal Fernando, not trusting her magics. Senna offers her help instead. It is then that the attempt at healing rebounds, and Senna loses part of her sight in the process of helping Fern regain his. On the bright side, her less-usable eye allows her to see into the Ethereal Plane.
