Faymere
The town of Faymere was founded to protect the north from the potential of an invasion of the Ethereal Steppes from the sea or through the mountains of Nicodow's Rise and the Fractured Heights. Originally a joint venture between the elves of Summerholde and the dwarves of Oakenstorm, it now is manned mainly by the elves though a few of the stouter folk remain.
It has been well over 1000 years since any sign of activity has emerged from the Ethereal Steppes but the elves do not forget and thus, those who remain in Faymere do so to protect the lives of those who have forgotten. Led by the Crimson Council and their head, Olayth Daetoris, the town still has an air of military sparsity.
Interestingly, when the dwarves left and returned to Oakenstorm, they left behind a temple which has now been converted into the town's only tavern, run by the gruff dwarf bard Bardi Hulren.
