Setting & Plot

NEXUS takes place at the end of the 29th century. This future is a dangerous place filled with wonder and perils around every turn. Earth is now a shadow of its former self. Most of it is a dangerous wasteland after a total nuclear war.. Humans were pushed underground and to the stars to survive. Erased, irradiated, and with a compromised atmosphere, extremely dangerous solar storms now roam with the wind and set fire to anything on the surface.
The player assumes the role of a newly recruited Lightkeepers from a Lunar colony. When tragedy strikes they vow revenge and to live the legacy their @uncle built. Subverting the law and using their charm on the right people, they are now an ensign in the AEGIS military and a high ranking soldier despite bureaucratic opposition. They are thrust into a war on multiple fronts, and must not only survive interstellar conflict, but defend humanity against cosmic threats, navigate complex moral and ethical dilemmas, and even confront dark secrets they uncover about the nature of their own reality.
