Albrien

A Nation Divided

Albrien could be a pleasant place to life. The wide rolling hills, gentle streams, lush forests and picturesque make for a an idyllic backdrop to the bloody Splinter War that is holding the region in is grasp for over a hundred years.
Battlefields, new, old and active plaguing the lands like pock marks. Some of the senseless bloodshed has awoken older unholy forces that try to take hold in the land.
Borders, ownership and laws in this ever shifting battlefield may change on a monthly basis.

Geography

To the east lays the Eversea. Being the direct route between Gharlarad and Ikan alot of trade is passing by the long coast line.
The the south the Griffin Mountains build a natural border to Gharlarad.
To the east lay the Duskmarches, rarely bringing into the land anything but sorrow.
The the north some forests establish a loose and fluid border to Etrokien. Since a lot of these regions are equally entangled in the Splinter War this border is more fluid and shifting then ever.
The center of the region is dominated by the Gwyntaur, a mystical forest that is resisting the chaos of the war with help from the chaos of the fey.
