The Glowing Sea
Over the millenia the crater has slowly filled with rainwater until the lake now reaches into every corner. Back when the Niklin were the masters of the Zento there was a small lake in the north where people would swim and enjoy the healing properties of the magical waters. By the time the imperial party arrived the water has become too potent to risk long exposure and any ingestion can prove dangerous.
Waves roll across the surface and a hidden current churns the water, making it dangerous for an inexperienced navigator to take a boat out.
At night time an etheral light emanates from beneath the surface, changing colour seemingly at random and groups have been known to ascend to the Temple of the Bear just to witness the display. After a high priest found empty wine bottles lined up on the tomb all that climb the steep steps must acknowledge a written notice warning that if they litter they will be punished by god and forced to clean it up.
