Ellishora Kellison

Overview

Ellishora Kellison is the reigning monarch of the Regalans.

Early Life

Ellishora was born in 2835 on Regalus in the City of Great White Light. Her parents Zentri and Illydia Kellison, were the king and queen of Regalus. She had two older brothers, Halzera and Tefren.

Education

Ellishora was educated within the walls of the castle in the City of Great White Light. Because she had two elder brothers, she learned much of what they were taught, such as how to fight, how to pilot ships, and how to lead militarily. She took a great interest in all of these and more. Had she not become Queen, it is thought she most likely would have become a captain of a ship within the Regalan Navy.

Career

Prior to the Throne

In 2978, a large group of regalan dissidents rose up against the monarchy. They began by terrorizing the border planets and slowly moved inward, closer and closer to Regalus itself. Once they reached the Galmren subsystem in early 2990, King Zentri took it upon himself to meet the dissidents head-on when it became apparent that talking to them was not going to work. King Zentri was killed in the ensuing battle. Ellishora's eldest brother, Halzera, assumed the throne in February of 2990 upon their father's death. He reigned until 2997 when he, too, was killed by the dissidents, this time by someone inside the palace. Tefren then took over from his brother. At the beginning of 2998, Tefren decided enough was enough with the dissident's reign of terror and launched a full out attack on them. He was successful but was mortally wounded in the process. He died on February 15th, 2998. Ellishora's mother, Illydia, temporarily ruled until everything was settled with the remaining dissidents who no longer wanted to fight.
Ellishora assumed the throne in 2999.

Queen of Regalus

After the tumultuous years prior to Ellishora ascending to the throne, she made it clear from the beginning that nothing like that would ever be tolerated again. Ellishora proved very quickly that she would rule with a firm hand - unlike her father, whose lax way of ruling was often thought to given rise to the dissidents - and did whatever she could to make sure her subjects were as comfortable as they could be. Any restlessness her subjects showed, she quelled quickly.
In 3193, someone from outside the Regalus Sector put out a hit on the queen's life. She requested D.O.M.A.I.N.'s assistance. General Robert Henson sent Kansas Vantara and Lewis Auznarr to take care of the problem. They ended up extracting the queen while other DOMAIN forces made sure the threats were gone.

Allegiance War

For the first part of the war, Ellishora kept the regalans out of it for as long as possible.
The regalan Oracles revealed to Ellishora, Vantara, and Auznarr what their true lineage was, informing them that they were the direct descendants of the Triad. Only they would be able to truly stop the texlors.
The texlor did end up invading Regalus at the end of 3194. Thousands of lives were lost, and the City of Great White Light was stormed. DOMAIN sent Vantara and her sister, Alex, to sneak onto the planet and find out what happened. Ellishora had saved who she could by hiding them in the castle. The Vantara sisters reduced the survivors and got them off the planet.
When General Henson made plans to take a team and infiltrate a major texlor base, Ellishora decided to throw a gala in an attempt to boost morale. The gala was attacked, however, proving that the texlors had ears and eyes everywhere.
When Prime Minister Royal T. Flush held the summit, Ellishora was one of the first to stand to pledge the regalan support in fighting the texlors.
The promised regalan fleet played a major role in ending the war. While Ellishora gives all of the credit to her generals and admirals, the regalan people know it was her, Vantara, and Auznarr that were the ones who put an end to texlors.

Post-war and Beyond

The Allegiance War was the only major conflict Queen Ellishora ever got the regalans involved in. Her reforms and leadership brought the regalans into a new and more peaceful age. While the regalans were known for mostly keeping to themselves, Ellishora made an effort to get them more involved and active as an allied planet.
In 3416, when the ONSS Odyssey was sent into the Ravaged Lands, Ellishora kept her ships on standby should the reconnaissance team need any help. The parthanazians would have destroyed the Odyssey without the help of the regalan fleet.

Personal Life

Ellishora was never interested in marrying and often said she always wanted her sole focus to be on the regalan people. Show Spoiler

She was in a relationship with General Henson for a brief time, but it is not known why they did not stay together.
She had always been very fond of her nephews and nieces, so it is expected that the eldest of her uncle's children will take over when Ellishora vacates the throne, therefore keeping the Kellison line going.
