Royal T. Flush

Overview

Royal T. Flush is a billionaire who owns the entirety of Aztlan and other various businesses scattered throughout the quadrant.

Flush was elected Prime Minister in 3194 and Chancellor of the High Council in 3199.

Early Life

Ronald "Royal T." Flush IV was born in 3135 on Scargil to Ronald Flush III and Esmerelda Flush. He has two brothers, David (older) and Jared (younger), and one sister, Candice. Flush grew up in a business-heavy environment, and it was expected of him from a young age that he would take over his father's business someday after his eldest brother, David, dropped out of school and moved to Earth.
When Flush was ten, he and his family relocated to Aztlan due to his father owning most of the businesses there. He attended the Riel School of Knowledge and graduated in 3152. He then moved out to the Praxan Belt to attend the Praxan School of Business. After he graduated from there in 3157, he moved back to Aztlan to work for his father.

Career

Return to Aztlan

Flush worked for his father on Aztlan until his father's death in 3162. He then took over the business completely. In 3165, the construction of the Royal Flush Hotel was completed on Aztlan.

Its success led to subsequent high-end hotels being built around the quadrant along with the Royal Flush Hotel and Casino in the Praxan Belt.
Flush bought the entirety of Aztlan in 3167 to help regulate business there. This action permitted the already thriving central trading hub of the quadrant to become even more prosperous. Flush then expanded Flush Enterprises and oversaw the security of the planet personally.

Royal Flush Enterprises

Flush Enterprises had been started by Flush's grandfather, but Flush expanded it far beyond what even his father had planned for it. He rebranded it Royal Flush Enterprises to fit the expansion and make it his own, wanting to put some separation between his father's business practices and his own. After he acquired the planet, the Aztlan Spaceport was run and owned by Flush Enterprises. All businesses on the planet were partnered in with FE, and all new businesses now had to go directly through Flush.
Orbit News is headquartered on Aztlan and is partly owned by Royal Flush Enterprises.
In 3170, Flush got Dr. Galaxy of Dr. Galaxy's Cola to move his headquarters from Heverran to Aztlan.

Winning the Ministry

After Prime Minister Margaret Croft was kidnapped by the texlors, interim Prime Minister Theodore Beasley's demise, and Raoul Vencherson's election upset, Flush was officially elected Prime Minister in 3194. He served throughout the duration of the Allegiance War and is now considered the best wartime prime minister the quadrant has ever seen. His whole platform was based upon protecting and defending the people, which made him very popular. He worked closely with Admiral Kingsley and General Robert Henson, which made him popular with the military along with his years of overseeing security on Aztlan.
Flush's reputation was always mixed with some people finding him rather annoying. After seeing his leadership through the Allegiance War, many changed their opinion of him, often citing that the war would have probably led to far greater losses and gone on for much, much longer had Flush not been in office. Flush is credited with getting the aid of the Milky Way forces which helped win the war and allow for Kansas Vantara, Lewis Auznarr, and Ellishora Kellison to finally put an end to the texlor invasion. When all was said and done, the general consensus was that Flush was exactly what the quadrant needed at the time.

Chancellorship

After Croft resumed the ministry after the Allegiance War ended, Flush went on to run for the vacant seat of Chancellor of the High Council. He won and was officially sworn in in 3199. Flush did everything he could to make the allied planets comfortable and worked closely with Croft and later Iris Porter. While Morren Grastominus would go down in history as the most beloved Chancellor, Flush would come in at a close second. He, Prime Minister Porter, and Admiral Kansas Vantara oversaw one of the most prosperous times in the quadrant's history.

Personal Life

Flush never married, but had twins with Emily Rutherford, his high school sweetheart. He had intended to marry her, but his work left little time for a personal life, which led to Rutherford leaving him to go to Earth - where she still had family - along with his unborn children.
Flush did not even know of their existence until Ricky Ace, his son, was badly wounded and needed a blood transfusion. Both Flush and Ace had suffered from a genetic childhood disease that prompted Doctor Grace Carter to run their DNA against each other, which revealed their relation. Ace never truly accepted Flush as his father, and he was killed in an Eldevian Genetics Lab. His death brought Flush and his daughter, Tasha Ace, closer. Tasha took over Flush Enterprises when Flush was elected Chancellor.
