Afdwalenwasser
Separating the two major parts of the Verboten Eislandes, the Afdwalenwasser is a small and narrow inlet. The islands are avoided almost entirely if it were not for this passage. Sailors tell of a secret font of Elan that swirls at the mid-point of this waterway. If one can control their ship and not get sucked below the briny deep by the water's pull, they can collect and bottle the magical waters here. These waters are said to give the imbiber magical visions of the future. It's because of this, that the harpies of the islands have caught on to the increased traffic in the otherwise abandoned and barren islands. They perch themselves on either end of the waterway waiting foolish men in their ships to think they can brave the Afdwalenwasser and survive. Most end up either meals for the harpies or are fed to the fish as their ship careens under the depths of the pool.
Geography
The waterway itself is quiet, calm, and unremarkable save for the massive whirlpool at the mid-way point from the Arden Sea in to the Donkerwasser. The whirlpool is large enough to carry any size ship under the waves if not navigated properly.
Fauna & Flora
Dozens of harpies line the rocks on either shore waiting for foolish sailors to test their mettle.
