Syrenrok

Syrenrok sits on one of the outer island of the Verboten Eislandes chain. As with the other islands, this one is no different save for Syrenrock jutting out into the Arden Sea. Atop it and around in the cave network under it, enchanting and deadly fey women loom. They have the upper torso of a beautiful woman and the body of a fish. As ships pass too close, they use their bewitching and magical voices to sing and call to sailors. If caught in their enraptured spell, the crew will do anything to be with the Syrens: leap overboard and swim towards them or steer the ship into the rock itself. The end result is the same; the Syrens leap upon the ensorceled sailors and tear them to pieces devouring their flesh.

Geography

The rock itself is very recognizable from a distance. It juts diagonally up off the island and overhangs off into the sea. It is steep on the water side, but gradually sloping on the island side.

Nothing but the Syrens inhabit this rock.
