Syren Eisland
Not actually known to be inhabited by Syrens, this is the northernmost island in the Verboten Eislandes in Frisia. The only thing of note on the island is the massive Ruins of Valken that is scattered all over the northern end of the island spanning from the west and north beaches to the south shore. Some say the name came from when the city was still inhabited. They Syrens were believed to have lived on the shores here and were sacred to the people of the city. When the city sank and collapsed in 1223 AC, the Syren left the area and ended up further south at Syrenrok.
Geography
Of the many islands in the Verboten Eilands, Syren Eisland is the least inhospitable geographically. The island is fairly flat and is mostly dried beach grassland. The most dangerous part of the island are the numerous unstable sinkholes left from the collapse of the island hundreds of years ago. The harsh winds of the island can shift the ground and cause sudden collapses into the porous cave network under the island.
Fauna & Flora
Many strange creatures have taken up residence in the Ruins of Valken.
