Nederig Abbey
The Sisters of the Blessed Falls have their abbey situated on Lake Ansel next to the village of Sint Geertruid. This abbey is known throughout Serrus as where the downtrodden, the poor, and the homeless can come to seek refuge.
Architecture
Unlike many other religious buildings across Serrus, this abbey is built with semi-permanent transients in mind. They have a campus where the homeless, poor, and sick can live temporarily while the sisters help them. There is also a small hospital where the sisters can care for the sick.
I am here today to tell you this story because of the sisters and their kindness. The abbey was comforting and my stay there helped my recovery from my sickness immensely. I will never forget the marble pillars and the soft, welcoming lights within.
