van der Bern Winery
Owned by High Lantern Bearer Vanderbern and his family, this winery and vineyard sits near the village of Ell. Two famous Frisian wines, Ansel White and Frisian Kervaner are made here and sold all over Serrus. The winery is sometimes used for clandestine business by the Order of the Lantern.
Architecture
The winery itself is an extremely large series of buildings. The main building is where the wine is created and stored. It is a massive warehouse complex that dots the north end. The south end, on the road heading to Ell and Sint Geertruid, houses an inn run by the family that showcases their wines. Next to the inn is a building where visitors can watch the wine made in small batches and learn about the wines and their excellent vintage. These buildings take advantage of the larger than average tourism in the Lake Ansel region.
