"For what has come before and those who will come after, we fight for our freedom. We fight for our rights, and our traditions, for those things we hold most sacred. We will show them who we truly are, that we Macrans won't lie down for them. We won't sit back and watch them as they rearrange our nest to their liking. We won't wait until the mud has dried.
We will show them who they are tangling with. Let them see our feathers!"

History
The Macran Rebels, which was originally made up of some of the more extreme
Seeing Eyes, was officially founded in 221 PT, when negotiations started between the
Macrans and the
Primians. They saw this as something they needed to stop, and so began almost 150 years of rebellion.
They started simply voicing their concerns, raising issues they saw in the promises the Primians were making. After not being listened to or taken seriously throughout the course of the negotiations, they gathered in the Eastern Marshes of
Nuskan on the eve of the signing of the treaty, to discuss a new tactic.
When the Primians found out about this, they dealt with it swiftly, setting fire to the Eastern Marshes and killing many of the rebels, as well as many innocent Macrans.
They were at the heart of both the First and Second Micro Rebellions, connecting people across the three continents of
P'Ache Micro against a common enemy. At the end of the Second Micro Rebellion, they were included in the negotiations, and as a result, ended when the second treaty was signed.
Organisation Structure
There was no strict structure that held throughout the course of the lifespan of the organisation. As numbers ebbed and flowed, so too did the need for structure. At its peak (during each of the two rebellions), the Macran Rebels had a single leader who was based out of the Bird's Eye Mountains in the north of
Rakan. Beneath this leader, there were Pod Leaders who were responsible for anywhere between 10 and 500 people, usually based on geographical region, but sometimes based on specialised skills.
Culture & Agenda
The Macran Rebels were very much a group of individuals, which meant that they didn't always agree on how things should be done or even exactly what should be done. However, everyone had three strong beliefs which could be considered their public agenda.
The Primians Must Be Stopped
Nothing the Primians bring to P'Ache Micro is good. There's a hidden agenda behind everything they do and it has to be stopped at all costs.
Traditions Must Be Remembered
The Primians are trying to make us forget our traditions, but they are traditions for a reason. We must not forget where we came from.
Everyone Is An Individual
Primians see us all as a collective people who are less than they are. We are all individuals and are all important in our own ways.
Symbols of Rebellion
The Rebels took an old Macran phrase as their own, changing the original meaning of
Letting Your Feathers Show - Saying, from some shared intimacy to something bolder and more around letting the Primians see who they were messing with.
They used the teal feather of the
Vont Hawk as their symbol, painted on trees to direct those looking for them or on hidden entrances and so on. Many wore
Vont Earrings as a symbol of their alliance with the rebels.
Let them see our feathers!

'they dealt with it swiftly, setting fire to the Eastern Marshes' Oh my yikes. I am glad the rebels were eventally included in the negotiations and things were settled in the end. But I bet that fire still casts a shadow.
