Duncat
The subterranean city of Duncat, located in between Luna Woods and Polaris in the nation of Esma, was constructed by the Gravelbraids during The Age of Rebellion. It was once a large and prosperous settlement of tinkerers, thinkers, and craftsmen renowned throughout the continent of Olox. The city was brought to a ruin during a war with Serenity, and then subsequently repopulated by the Duncat clan early in The Age of Mortality.
During the time of clan Duncat, the populace led relatively simple lives. They were neither particularly greedy nor industrious by dwarven standards, though they still had fantastic sculptures that put most other settlements in Esma to shame. Most notably, the city was also lit by molten lava that was pumped through the city with translucent pipes. Unfortunately, the city continued to face hardships of various kinds, including attacks by multiple renowned serial killers including Namelford Eversong, The Drunken Surgeon, and Tornac. What few survivors remained evacuated and moved to other mountainhomes, the most notable of which is the mines of Rocileract.
During The Age of Coalescence, The Pack repopulated the old town with Moon Plague patients. They still live there today, and have even been attracting a few dwarven immigrants from other parts of Olox.
