OttL Session 35: Meeting the Avatar

General Summary

Femtid is on deck trying to hear Ionda. Natsu comes up to chat and discusses her history with Arrius.
Femtid expresses interest in Caerbor Klaedris, and wonders if suppressing her feelings for him was making it hard to hear Ionda.
Below decks, Caerbor Klaedris comforts his sister Thaiva Phenol some more.
Thaiva Phenol talks to Kiri about Moon Plague and Arrius. Kiri hypothesizes that Arrius might not be able to control beasts.
Femtid helps Natsu experiment with her new powers. When Natsu casts command Femtid winds up prostrating herself before the "mistress"
Natsu finds the father of the Kenku family from before in Duncat and sends him home to be with them
Kiri tells Thaiva Phenol that she invoked her conduit of consequence on Caerbor Klaedris. She thinks the crew saved his life by bringing him along.
Redacted gives Natsu a small wooden carving of a fox.
Thaiva Phenol, Femtid, Himitsugami, and Kiri spar in Duncat. Himitsugami does amazingly well in her match with the much more skilled Kiri.
A new NPC is brought onto the ship, Legosi, in order to help guard the vessel when the party is away.
Hobbs plots to take down Arrius personally.

Femtid is pushing Caerbor Klaedris to talk about himself. It takes a lot of convincing from her and Natsu to make him open up
Caerbor Klaedris talks about his many insecurities surrounding his own worth and losing his life as a noble. After a lot of back and forth with Natsu
He goes at great length bemoaning how useless he is. Natsu eventually snaps him out of it by telling him he needs to figure out who he is. After Caerbor Klaedris says everything he defined himself by is gone, Natsu responds "You have your sister. Does she mean nothing?"
After Caerbor Klaedris recovers from his emotional breakdown, Femtid presses him again.
Caerbor Klaedris confesses interest in Femtid, and she explains how her perspectives have changed and that she is looking for a new relationship despite having just lost Memento Vitae.
Natsu "helps" by yelling at the two of them to kiss. They do so, and Caerbor Klaedris becomes a frog
The next morning, once he has his body back, Caerbor Klaedris talks to Thaiva Phenol and explains he named his other self "AJ" - short for Alibor Junior.
Thaiva tells Caerbor about Alibor chasing her away from home (discord link). Caerbor Klaedris responds by telling her about life after she left the castle (discord link)

Thaiva Phenol gets help from Natsu to find out what sorts of Moon Plague she might catch by various means. Six visions are had, two of which are natural 1s. Natsu takes bedrest immediately after.
Thaiva Phenol talks to Caerbor Klaedris about this, and says she needs to kiss him to become a behir.
Caerbor Klaedris argues against this idea at length, but ultimately allows it
Thaiva Phenol and Femtid decide to find an island to carve lairs for their Moon Plague selves.

The party goes to talk to Haru. Her journey to Durhambia to slay the red dragon was successful.
When questioned about queen Promise referring to her as "legion", Haru initially dodges the question.
Haru pushes the others for what they are really trying to ask, and they push her for details about what she is. Eventually Haru does admit to being the Avatar for The Age of Coalescence
According to Haru, she has around two million souls within herself. She claims these souls, as well as the ones related to Moon Plague, are coming from The Void. She claims they are souls claimed by results of ages past, and that the Moon Plague allows them a second chance at existing.
Haru does concede that the planes merging together could be a problem if left unchecked. However, she says that this should wait, and the Moon Plague allowed to continue, to "save as many souls as possible"
The party strongly disagrees with this assessment, and departs in short order

They fly to Lucileastil and sell the booze in the hold
while there, Hobbs advertises his beer to the populace. Natsu assists with very high rolls

Thaiva Phenol buys charts of islands around Bevi.
Femtid takes several tries, but manages to use the engine to warp to the region around the eastern coast of Bevi.
They find a nice large island, in a very cold region with large caves. Femtid and her plague soul Ionda claim the surface while Thaiva Phenol and her plague soul Rheai claim the caves below

Natsu travels to The Wandering Tavern to visit her parents.
She first seeks out Kei, for comfort, and then approaches her mother for actual business.
Natsu describes the vision Arrius forced her to have using Vecna's Orb
Tsukiko mutters to her self as she connects dots. She thinks Arrius must be working for Lolth, as that would be the only reason he would know about their meeting
Natsu's divinity is advancing, and she can feel her followers with a successful religion roll. This does not work on Tsukiko but it does on Kei
Tsukiko understands the distrust, but claims that she was simply doing contract work for Lolth
Natsu updates her mother on recent events and Tsukiko decides to go to the Feywild to confirm the theory that Arrius' conduit does not work on plague patients' feral forms
When asked about the coalescence, Tsukiko said that the planes merging ended very badly in the previous timeline.
After returning to the airship, the party contacts Nihilo to update him on the situation. He agrees to investigate Haru for himself.
