Nihilo was born an exceedingly long time ago, during The Age of Sacrifice. In his original life he was an ardent follower of Bahamut who went by the name of M'aiq, but that quickly changed when he fell in love with vampire tabaxi woman by the name of Ahnassi. His patron did not approve of vampires, and he was bound by oath to slay the woman who was now the love of his life. Rather than acquiesce to his patron's demands, he abandoned his church and warned Ahnassi of the threat on her life. The two eloped and joined a carnival, taking on the assumed names of Nihilo and Aliquid. The names are celestial, and literally translate to "Nothing" and "Something", respectively. The two were hounded by the church at every turn, but when they learned about the Form of sacrifice they made a deal with it. They both sacrificed their bodies and independence in order to gain immortality and power. The two were fused together into one being, with Nihilo having his normal body and his tail being replaced by his wife Aliquid, now deformed into an eldritch monstrosity. The two eventually managed to escape the notice of Bahamut's followers by faking their own death near the end of the age. In the next age, The Age of Rebellion, Nihilo and Aliquid had become planeswalkers, traveling from plane to plane in search of knowledge, novelty, and adventure. Their travels eventually led them to discover that The Hanging Tree was actually the Avatar of rebellion, and they went around the various planes trying to find someone that would believe them. The ones who finally believed were the Dukes of Air, who crafted a divine spear, invaded Bytopia, and slew the tree. The two attempted to retire from adventuring after this, but life had other plans in store for them. When the Dukes of Air were seeking champions to fight in Ragnarok, they summoned Nihilo and Aliquid to participate. After The Age of Mortality came to an end they remained in Vigrid to serve as Einherjar, ready for whatever adventures may lie in wait for them in the next age.
