History

The Hidden Rain Village was founded roughly 50-60 years ago by a man named Sadao Kiro. Whenever Sadao founded the village, he had spent ten years digging up the earth beneath a great lake. He was said to have then carved the island with his immense capabilities and strength within this time period, creating the rich land in which the citizens of Amegakure now live. Eventually, Sadao sent his son, Akebane Kiro, to Tsuchigakure for years of training away from home. It was roughly five years ago that Akebane returned to Amegakure, where he has since reigned over the village.   The village's founder, Sadao Kiro, was a talented ninja who spent many years researching the arts of steampunk technology. He eventually developed the village's unique steampunk technology, which relies on a combination of water, steam, and electricity to power elaborate machines and weapons. The village is also home to a rich tradition of ninja training and combat, and it has produced some of the greatest ninja soldiers and assassins in the world.   The village’s unique steampunk technology also has many practical applications, such as providing clean water and power for its citizens. This technology has also been used to develop weapons such as the Steam Cannon, which is capable of launching massive blasts of superheated steam at its targets, which can cause severe damage to flesh and bone. The village has also developed an advanced system of underground tunnels, which connect the various parts of the village and allow its shinobi/ special ops to quickly move around without being noticed by enemies or outside forces. The village is also home to a state-of-the-art surveillance system, which can track the movements of individual people and groups according to their chakra being sensed. This surveillance system is linked to the village's network of satellites, which provide a comprehensive overview of the village's entire area.
