Shimmershroud Experiment

A few days have passed since your excursion in the tunnel.  In the Laboritory of Gravitational Inversion , Director Uldin is supervising an experiment confirming the usefulness of the shimmershroud mushrooms. Bucket's crew is hard at work supporting Uldin's main team. In a strange twist Director Airheart and her assistant Azala Yazen are also observing the final experiment occurring in the gravity chamber 4.   A series of Tenser's discs within the chamber are enchanted with various versions of levitation. Small constructs move the discs and the levitation fields impact the spores with in the gravity chamber. Director Uldin calls for gauge readings from various measuring devices linked to the chamber. Bucket's crew calls out the readings, and makes any adjustments to the equipment that the Director calls for. Uldin's unseen servant scribbles down everything said in its impeccable handwriting.   Wolfgang as you record the motion of the construct 3E in the chamber you remember the briefing you had with Director Uldin in his office. A particular question comes back to you. How did you answer this question? What was your impression of the habitat for the fungus and could that be recreated in a lab quickly?   Su'Nat you are observing construct 2A, when your memory drifts back to the briefing. How did you answer this question? What was your impression of the Golgari guides? Do you think it is worth the effort to seek out a longer relationship if we need access to the fungus?   And both of you remember his last question very clearly: Did Bucket perform in a satisfactory manner during the mission or did he put the mission at risk?    When the gravity chamber experiment concludes, and Director Uldin sighs, and reviews the data. "Confirmed." He turns to Director Airheart, "Gastok's hypothesis appears sound according to this data. But I recommend additional testing in a more specialized manner."   Director Airheart raises an eyebrow, "To clarify a point Uldin. Director Gastok received his assignment from me, and I received it from Niv-Mizzet. Director Gastok's death didn't change our Guldmaster's interest in this fungus and the proposed application."   Uldin stammers, 'Of course, Director. I didn't mean to imply any doubt in the Guildmaster's theories."   "Good," Airheart replies. "I expect to see the paperwork for a proposed satellite laboratory so we can continue testing. And I expect to see it within days Director Uldin. Our Guildmaster is not patient, and while he understands how grief for a collaborator can impact operations… well he is nearly immortal himself. So his concept of time is subjective. I'd like to show him concrete evidence that we are moving forward. Clear?"   Uldin stiff and obviously uncomfortable says, "Clear Director. We'll work on finding a location quickly." You can't help but notice he glances at Bucket when he says this.
