Industry & Trade
The city mostly runs on the various factories around the city, either making items or processing Aether
Trade in Swordbreak is heavily regulated, with taxes, tariffs, and restrictions on what can be brought in and out of the city, and people live a squalid existence because of it. The trade guild strictly enforces the rules, and costs of doing business in Swordbreak are high. Welfare is nonexistent. Citizens can expect the absolute bare minimum of death services. Healthcare and education are totally ignored, and those unable to fend for themselves starve.
Infrastructure
Swordbreak is a large thriving industrial city. Here is where most of the Aether is processed and the large factories make up a good portion of the city. There is a port in the lake that connects the capital to other various cities around the Empire.
Roads are most cobble, but some are just packed dirt, the more into residential you get
Prisons are a fairly new thing, as sending lawbreakers to The Ethereal Summit to be a Aether Harvester was becoming cost-ineffective. Often lawbreakers would just be hanged so the government wouldn't have to deal with them, but now exceptionally long prison sentences for the weak or the old were common as they wouldn't be any help.
