Kalmasi

Kalmasi is a growing lingua franca of the Torvalen continents. It is primarily derived from Eshti, but has readily incorporated words, grammar and idiomatic stucture from other languages, such as those of the Jolnir and Calmaxtec languages, and even words from the languages of the varhani and ejdehan. Some Eshtem, particularly many elites, look down on Kalmasi as a mongrel language and refuse to speak it. Others point out the irony of this, since Eshti itself was a trade language, incorporating many of the languages of other @Utanar cultures.
