Pranesh
Pranesh is a canton of the Volenaran League. It's capitol city of Pranesh is the seat of the League's government. It is a major trade city and boasts a strong culture of innovation in trade, semiotics and artisanry.
Pranesh is ran as a democratic republic with an assembly formed by representatives from each of the canton's 27 administrative districts, elected by the adult citizens of those districts. Nearly all members are also members of the Open Hand society whose members continue to wield considerable influence in Volenar, particularly Anjara and Pranesh cantons.
History
Pranesh was the first colony established by Kalmasan explorers during the reign of Mahendran I. At first, it was believed that the Kalmasan Samraj had at last found a land in Torvalen not already occupied on which they could establish a new anchor of Eshtem civilization. They were disabused of this notion upon first contact with the winged people of Volenar, the ejdehan.
