Anjara

The Volenaran canton of Anjara is located between Anahuetlan canton to the north and Pranesh to the south. To the west is the territory of the highland nation of Many Caves. To the east, on the coast is the lowland Black Cliff nation.

Anjara is a democratic republic. It is organized into provinces whose adult residents elect a member to the Anjaran Assembly. The Assembly in turn elects their canton delegate to represent their interests in Pranesh.

The canton has large forests in the north and fertile coastal plains in the south. It is a major agricultural center and is also home to most of the ship building in Volenar. Many of the ejdehan of Black Cliffs nation work in Anjara's shipyards.

The Anjarans are the loudest voice for trade restrictions on Brynheim for their refusal to allow ejdehan on their territory. Some believe it is due to their close working relationships with Black Cliffs and Many Caves nations, but other, more cynical voices see it as a way to gain a competitive edge over the shipyards of Brynheim.
