Drow

The Drow are set apart from the other elven races by massive cultural and religious practices and geographic location, as the majority of drow are found deep beneath the surface of Runetalras in the Underdark, or have recently migrated to the surface world. The drow are oft considered wholly and irredeemable evil for they practise slaverly on a massive scale, their religion practices mass ritualistic sacrifice, and their society is based upon violence, obedience, and backstabbing; however, these societal evils and given the opportunity drow have demonstrated there is nothing innately evil within them. Regardless of if an individual drow is evil, most peoples of Runetalras fear and direct violence toward drow for fear of their reputation alone.

Physical Description

The drow, for the most part, appear much like any Elf with the exception of their skin tones, which appear more dusky purples, greys, and even dark ebony.

Abilities

While any other Elf has a kind of dark vision that may well suit them, drow instead have exceptional eyesight which has adapted from their millennia living in the Underdark.

Homelands

The vast majority of the drow live within the Underdark petty kingdoms, like the Kingdom of Sathvieraneath, which war with one another and the duergar, deep gnomes, and illithid. It is rare for the drow kingdoms to band together, but it has happened during the Illithid War and Wars of Undeath.
Since the Wars of Undeath many more drow have begun to make their homes upon the surface of Runetalras, although they have not received warm welcomes, given millennia of violence and slaving.
