Ahisa (AH HEE SA)
First Empress, the Serpent Mother, the Divine Bride (a.k.a. Shivad'ress)
It is said that when the First Emperor of Mij'es was but a child he came upon the Shivad'ress bathing with her servants. As she prepared to tear out his eyes he boldly spoke to the goddess: "Stay your hand, for I shall claim you one day, and it ill befits you to have a husband so mutilated." The Goddess taken aback by his boldness told him she would lay with him only if he built her a temple of gold that reached the sun. And so when when the great temple city of Aj'aji was built the goddess appeared before him as Ahisa, the bride, and bore him many children. Though they lived for ages and hand many offspring, the two most important children of this union were the first and the last, the Yuan-ti gods of control and charity (Barruj and Ixsoi respectively).
