Dwarven Sovereignty
The united forces of the Dwarves, only officially founded for the signing of the treaty of Muzpik. The Sovereignty loosely ties together all the Dwarven cities, like the United States just after the articles of the federation. These states work together, and follow the same authority largely for 'honor' and 'brotherhood', things the Dwarves value highly .
Structure
The Mayor of Kazaram is technically in charge of the sovereignty. In practise, he does very little other than his mayoral duties. in times of crises, all the dwarven mayors gather in Kazaram to form a 'ruling council' untile the crisis is averted. These mayors form a strict chain of command, each able to check the one above him, but only with the support of his subordinate. The chain is:
Kazaram, Dwarvenholm, Kelv, Sternham (officially a human province, still has a Dwarven 'Mine overseer'). Several other towns are involved, but all fall under the juristiction of one of the principle cities.
Assets
The Durnhalla mountains are rich with minerals, the Dwarves are renownded for their craftdwarfship, and their military prowess is feared worldwide. These cities each possess a population trained in combat, a large amount of industrial capacity, and expansive mining infastructure.
History
The Sovereignty was founded in 194 with the Treaty of Muzpik, and since has appealed to the kings of Saramoth only twice: once to offer assistance in the Great War, which led to the slaughter of their armies and political estrangement with the nation of Westerel, and again to dispute the arrival of Goblins, which was overrulled since the Goblins tunnels into the Durnhalla mountains all originated below the 'set in stone' altitude line. The Dwarves hate Goblins.
