The Duchy of Magmhorin descends from the ethnic Dail populations who inhabited this territory before the arrival of the Phan Empire.
With the fall of the empire, almost all the territories of Dail origin joined the federation of the Principalities of Hansa, but with the advent of the Red Duchess Magmhorin and Elemon they became independent, although officially they are still part of the Principalities.
Government and Tyranny: The Duchy of Magmhorin is ruled by the Red Duchess, an authoritarian and ruthless ruler. The Duchess exercises tyrannical control over the population and territory, maintaining power through terror and oppression. Laws are often ignored or manipulated for the benefit of the Duchess and her supporters.
Darkness and Chaos: The Duchy of Magmhorin is associated with darkness and chaos. Forbidden magical practices, the worship of evil deities, and the indiscriminate use of dark magic are common in this region. Citizens constantly live in a climate of fear and instability.
Military Structure: The Duchy of Magmhorin has a well-trained and disciplined military, made up of soldiers, mercenaries, and evil creatures in their employ. The Duchess relies on military might to maintain control and expand her domain.
Landscape and Holds: The territory of the Duchy of Magmhorin is characterized by a dark and desolate landscape, with volcanic soils, gloomy forests, or craggy mountains. Imposing and inaccessible fortresses dot the landscape, serving as strongholds for the duchess and her followers.
Subjected Population: The citizens of the Duchy of Magmhorin are in a state of constant oppression and fear. The Duchess and her supporters exercise complete control over people's lives, limiting their freedoms and suppressing any form of dissent. Spies and agents of the feared secret police called "Ghosts" often blend into the crowd in order to capture any enemies and rebels.
Controlled Economy: The Duchy's economy is tightly controlled by the Duchess and her allies. The resources are exploited for the benefit of the nobility and the military, while the rest of the population suffers from poverty and lack of opportunities.
As is often the case in these situations, the economy of Magmhorin is based on the labor of slaves, whether they come from the army's raids on conquered territories or are poor citizens reduced to poverty, their hard work produces many of the goods necessary to keep this kingdom standing.
Relations with the Duchy of Elemon: The Duchy of Magmhorin is engaged in a bloody and perpetual war with the Grand Duchy of Elemon. The reasons for the war are linked to ideological differences, power struggles or territorial disputes, but the war has been going on for so long that most of the population has forgotten the reasons that triggered it. The fact remains that the two entities are in stark contrast, with the Duchy of Magmhorin seeking to expand its control and the Duchy of Elemon opposing its tyrannical regime.
The Church of Sardar the Conqueror: One of the main reasons for the war is undoubtedly the schism within the church of Sardar the Bloodhanded, God of War, of the two schismatic factions the Duchess has chosen to support the faction closest to her, that of Sardar the Conqueror. The priests of Sardar who join this schism are powerful warlords, ruthless fighters, and unscrupulous captains of war skyships.
