Pizhou

A dry, rocky world in the inner system of Jinzhou. It's land partially covered by desert and partially by rocky steppes, the little arable land available is situated around the fresh water lakes and seas that dot the otherwise completely terrestrial planet. Its surface is littered with craters and canyons left by years of destructive de-orbiting. Both during the reign of the Ong Dynasty and after its collapse, a dozen or so companies were responsible for hauling derelict or decommissioned ships into orbit around Pizhou, then de-orbiting them, letting them fall to the surface. Ships attached to the outer hulls of these large ships aided their descent, or in more extreme cases, the ships were allowed to take the full brunt of their inertia and friction as they crashed into the planet below. Once home to one of the larger populations in the Asmara Region, the collapse of the Ong Dynasty in 3201 saw the world dissolve into anarchy. These days thousands of starship husks litter the landscape of Pizhou, long picked clean by scavengers and looters. Some became permanent shelters to the displaced peoples of Pizhou, most remain deathtraps of twisted steel and copper. The people live in relative squalor. While small communities have begun to rebuild, they are plagued by raiders and other malcontents hoping to make it rich off the many troves of tech that form the center of their economies. About 400,000 people live on Pizhou.
